IN MY EARS AND IN MY EYES: OUR STORY

You’ll Never Walk Alone

The quintessential Liverpudlian, Terry O’Neill was once a bouncer in that city’s  famed Cavern Club. Legend has it that he had to usher a rambunctious young John Lennon out the door. Nowadays he’s cheerfully welcoming newcomers and regulars alike into the doors of Penny Lane, the pub he’s owned in Richmond since 1979.

Son Terence now manages the pub, along with daughter-in-law Lisa, bringing a new generation of energy and cheer to the family business. Of course, Terry is often on the scene as well, greeting all with the unmistakable Scouse lilt of “Love” or “Mate.” Like the Liverpool Football Club slogan implies, when you’re visiting Penny Lane, you’ll always be among friends.
