A Note From the Webmaster
Amazing how life gets in the way of progress somedays? Our grand plans for
the tour of the site are on hold until I can find some help. Anyone that knows
how to build a 3-D tour graphic and has the equipment to do so - contact me!
In the meantime, have you ever been in a genuine English Pub? If so, you'll
feel it the moment you walk in the door. If not, come find out! We've put a
few teasers from a test shoot I did in the pub. I still want to find the time
to come back and do it right - it's a beautiful place, well done, and a joy to
walk through - something around every corner. Not to mention the people. As
the mayor of Liverpool once said: You will never walk alone. There are no
strangers here! Come in and enjoy, and we'll announce the tours when they come!
In the meantime, just a few quick notes about the place:
- The entrance leads into the courtyard - with Richmond weather, you never
know. Yet, with the fountain in the middle and windscreeens, it works for
much of the year.
- Pass by the phone booth (yes, an old Call Box) and in the front door -
mind the fountain. At Christmas, filled with presents. In Summer - running
with a cooling mist.
- Into the inner sanctum - through the front doors. Into the pub. If you
ever were in the old place, the first reaction is - *&^&^$% they moved the
place - how? If not, welcome to a real pub.
- Check out the "lobby" area as you go up the stairs or to the bathrooms. See
what you can find on the walls!
-
The trip up the stairs is worth it if you like darts (Cricket), pool, or
just a differnt place. Tell Ashton or Rob we sent you.
- Just as you get upstairs, take good look at the lobby area. Then a glance
into the private dining room. A great place for a business meeting, a quiet
dinner for a few or a romantic evening for two.
- Back downstairs, to the 5th Street side of the Pub is the dining room -
a multi-purpose place. Almost a library, with wonderful windows - did I mention
the fireplace?
- All throught the pub - the wood, the frosted glass, the "stuff", the pictures,
the memories...
Come and create your own memories! Enjoy our real world as much as you
enjoy this virtual one...
